A conservatory is one of the most sought after home improvements available. With the advances in energy efficient materials, a conservatory is a relaxing room the whole family can enjoy 365 days of the year. When it comes to styles and designs, the possibilities are endless so each conservatory is customized to compliment your property. Inspiration often comes from something you have seen. It can then be adapted slightly to suit your individual style. A helpful starting point is to decide which shape or model will suit your property best and work from there. To see the most popular styles that are available, click on the styles icon on left hand side of this page.

Some people may be misled into thinking that a conservatory can only be used in the warmer months, this may have been the case some years ago, but with cavity walls and floors insulated and Low E glass to radiate the heat back into the room, heat loss is dramatically reduced. There is also the option to install underfloor heating as well as plumbed or electric radiators. Alternatively, conservatories of old used to become too hot in summer and uncomfortable to sit in. This problem can be controlled significantly by adequate ventilation and installing optional extras such as, controllable roof vents or Pilkington Activ glass to the roof which reflects the sun and reduces heat transferring through the glass.
